Anca Croitoru

Anca is a mixed media collage artist.

Born in communist Romania, a place where creativity was stifled, she moved to Barcelona in 2010, where she found the space to explore and nurture her true self.

She discovered collage at a mail art workshop and felt deeply connected to both the technique and the Dadaist values. 

In her work, Anca embraces imperfection, the raw, the flawed, and the unexpected, reminding us that beauty lies in authenticity. Her process is guided entirely by intuition. She is driven by sustainability and uses recycled materials only: from discarded objects to flyers, secondhand magazines, and the “paper crumbs” left from other works. 

In an era dominated by digitalization and having worked for the past 10 years in technology herself, Anca’s goal as an artist is simple: to create pieces that inspire, soothe or just allow the viewer to step into a calmer, more fulfilling world.
