Rexxy

Rexxy (Rukmini Reddy Sen) is an Indian artist and professional educator based in the UK, with an MA Fine Art from University of Brighton and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Kala Bhavana, the reputed fine art department of Visva Bharati, Santiniketan in India. Her mediums include painting, printmaking and mixed media.

Rexxy’s work is inspired by the intricate interconnections between nature and humans. Drawing on mythology and personal belief, her artworks often blend reality and fantasy to emphasise the important nuances of nature and to recognise the vital roles all creatures play within our fragile ecology. ⁠
⁠Besides people, her muses include animals of the city like crows, foxes, cats and insects which portrayed as sources of inspiration elevated beyond their often-perceived status as ‘lesser beings’.
